What is an Escape Room?
A Cryptic Escape Room is a team game for 2-6 players. You will be locked in one of our immersive Escape Games with the objective of escaping. Escaping is not as simple as it sounds, players will have to complete a series of cryptic puzzles and challenges which will move you towards your main objective.

Cryptic Escape Rooms offer a true immersive experience, one that is challenging, entertaining and unforgettable. Our games are ideal for friends, family and co-workers. Each game starts from the second you walk through the door. You will be immersed in the world that is built by interacting with characters and learning about the games story. You will be part of a detective team on an assignment based on the Escape Room that you’ve booked. You will be given an objective to complete and it is up to you to prepare. The game will then shift to your booking and you will have a set amount of time to complete your objective.
How old do I need to be to play?
It is recommended that any players under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult. This is due to the challenges that the games have and that the themes can be creepy at time which might scare potential younger players.
I am claustrophobic, can I play?
There is a spare key to let players out in case of any emergency, so you are never truly locked up. The rooms are spacious in size so you will never find yourself in a tight space.
Is your site wheelchair accessible?
Sadly, due to the buildings location, wheelchair accessibility is very difficult. the site itself is a listed building so there are steps going into and out of each game,
What should we wear when playing the Escape Room?
No special attire is required. However, if you wish to dress up in fancy dress then by all means do so.
What is the minimum or maximum team size?
2 as a minimum and 6 as a maximum, we recommend not exceeding these team sizes so each player can have the best experience possible.
How much time will we need to play?
You will be on site for a total of 90 minutes. This will consist of the pre-Escape Game investigation, playing the Escape Room and a debrief at the end.
